Adobe creative cloud is an online technology and subscription based software which enables someone to be extremely creative, artistic and innovative in creating a video animation or virtually anything they want. Once you have a subscription for Adobe creative cloud it enables you to also access awhile range of other Adobe software products such as video editing, graphic design, web development, and photography. The creative cloud also includes other popular and amazing softwares such as, the illustrator tool, InDesign, Photoshop tool, Premiere Pro, After Effects as well as many other popular software tools. Using Adobe creative cloud is a great way to promote creativity within the classroom and promote the use of multimedia presentation styles.

The creative cloud can be used and downloaded on your laptops or even on your iPads/tablets. Similarly to google docs and the google brand, creative cloud allows you to share your work with others and allows other to access your work and edit it or work on it with you. This technology is good to use in school as the creative cloud is becoming more prevalent in the corporate world and experience with in in the school region could be beneficial and vital for the students future life.

In my week 4 class me and another girl teamed up and used the technology app “stop motion” to create a frame by frame video (as shown below). My partner and I used blue play-doh and the toy character of Buzz Lightyear from the movie series Toy Story to create this frame by frame 'motion picture’. As you can see below, this motion picture took incredible accuracy and careful placement of the toy character ensuring that the ‘movie’ had a certain flow to it. The technology and app however was relatively easy to use once we got used to all the buttons and how it truly worked. It allows students to be creative and especially gives young students a chance too be creative and express themselves through pictures and movies in an extremely easy way that’s great for beginners. This also allows them to potentially help their own education by being creative and understanding concepts learned in class, put into a motion picture.

Hi Shira,

Great post. The discussion on the pros of Adobe Creative Cloud was informative. From reading your blog, I agree that these technologies can help promote student creativity. The collaborative nature of Stop Motion Studio definitely will help promote creativity as I believe students learn from each other and ideas can be exchanged. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the stop-motion video you included.

I recommend next time that you may include the pedagogical issues of these technologies and links to the curriculum. It would be nice to know your positions on the pedagogical issues about the technologies.

Regards,

Cindy
